Living at home again after i moved out with my pregnant fiance, had a child and broke up. I moved back
They let my girlfriend come around but both parents are old fashioned and will not let us go upstairs alone. We are the same age and seems unfair. Cannot afford to move out at the moment. What is the answer? How do I convince my parents to let me bring my GF around and spend time with her upstairs?
It's their house and their rules may be pathetic to you, but I think you should be living on your own. I don't think it's fair to try to convince someone to let you do something you want to do that they don't want You to do in your house. To me that is disrespectful. I think they know why you want to go upstairs alone and they don't want it so just save your money and move ASAP so that you can do things right. How do I convince my parents to let me bring my GF around and spend time with her upstairs?
Well since you already proved your irresponsibility by creating a child then refusing to stay with the mother of that child to care for the life you played a part in creating, your parents have a pretty good foundation for not giving you time to yourselves this time around. Bottom line is if you're old enough to have moved out, then you are a guest in your parents' home. Respect the boundaries they place on you while you are their guest.
Well if you have a child and everything then surely you've grown up, I don't understand why they won't let you have a girl upstairs, it's not like you're going to ';Do homework'; or ';watch a film'; but not... if ya know what I mean.
I think you should just explain to them that you're old enough and mature enough to let a female in the upstairs of the house... if it makes them happy, keep the door open lol
This is really odd :-P
well im 15 soon 16 and my boyfriend is 16 bout to be 17 and when were at my house [i live with my father only, im daddies lil gurl] but were allowed in my room i just have to at lest have the touch lamp on low and the door has to be opened, but we spend most the time at his house where he has a pad lock on his door his mother only let me stay the nite and go back there when i made her think i was a young lady with class and was all about not haveing sex beofr marriage [not true] i made her think i was a respecful person and she lets me come and go and do as i please, mabey if your girlfriend shows your parents respect and u your self shows respect for them and thier home they will allow it. but idk how that will go being u gotta girl pregant already lol so all i can say is good luck or try going to her house.
Tough call mate!
If you respect your parents, don't even think about it! It's their home and their wishes should be observed at all times.
Alternatively - book a ';late'; table for two at an intimate restaurant and present the booking to Mum and Dad as a thank you for welcoming you back home. - Whilst the cats away!
im afraid ul have to s*ag her round the back against the hedge for now. how old are you anyway? its just not healthy living with mum and dad, u know? especially with mum. eventually it will wreck your relationship. you cant have parents treating you like a child even if you live with them, thus, u need to move out asap. where there is a will there is a way.
how old are you? If you are an adult you can make your own decisions. But on the other hand, since u live under their roof you should respect their decisions. Is there anywhere else you can see her? It probably makes your parents feel odd with you and her upstairs. Ask your parents if it's ok f yo leave the door open. (ha, ha)
u got ur fiance pregate then broke up with her then u wanna bringur current gf upstairs? maybe ur [parents don't want same thing to hap[pen to the gf as did to finacee

Go dogging.
abide by your parent's decision. It won't kill you. If you want to be alone, get a room
